Transportation:
Vientiane capital is easily accessible. The best way for travelling from the airport is to take a taxi to hotel. Wat Tai International Airport is located 15 km from the city. The cost of a taxi from Airport to Vientiane city is no more than US$10 (120,000 LAK).
Visas:
A visa is not required for travelers holding passports from ASEAN countries. Standard length of stay for tourist visas is 30 days. You are advised to check again 3 months before travelling. If you are not from ASEAN countries, the first thing comes into your mind is how to apply Laos Visa. Visas to Laos can be easily applied for at the arrival airport or via online. Visitors are able to apply for a Laos Visa On Arrival at the international airport in Vientiane & Luang Prabang. The Visa Form is available at the Counter for Immigration at the arrival gate. You need to fill in and obtain a Visa. The lines for visas are not too long, filling in the Visa Application Form in advance, will shorten the process.
